# Join and trade

> Stake, take a seat, and trade someone else's take.

  <Step title="Fund your stake">
    On **Me** (or any market page), deposit USDC into your stake. Or [launch a token](/trade/launch-a-token) and let your backers fund it.

  <Step title="Pick a market">
    **Markets** lists every market, open seats first. Each card shows the take, its stocks, the money, and how many seats are left. Filter by **Open to join** or search by stock.

  <Step title="Join">
    Joining moves collateral from your stake into the market. The app shows how much the market's stocks need before you sign.

  <Step title="Trade">
    Once the market starts, your slice of the money arrives in your sleeve. Pick a stock, enter an amount on the keypad, choose **Buy** or **Sell**, and check the review sheet before you confirm. It shows what the trade uses of your stake.

## Limits you'll see

* One trade can use at most **half your slice**.
* You can only hold stocks the market allows.
* Your collateral has to cover every position at its [tier](/concepts/stakes) after the trade.
* If your loss reaches **80% of your collateral**, you can be liquidated.

At the end you get your collateral back plus 30% of any profit, into your stake, ready for the next market.
